All water sport activities at Parque de Malongane are run from the dive centre in the Dive Camp, situated in the southern part of the resort just 30 meters from the beach. It is a stylized 2 floor wooden complex, with self-catering kitchen, dining area, bar, small pool, a medical room, kitting up decks and compressor station, which offers you 232 Bar air-fills.
After your arrival at Parque de Malongane our staff will show you the facilities, allocate you some space in the fridges and brief you on our setup. Feel free to lodge any questions you have about diving and the Dive Camp to any of our Dive Camp staff.

DIVE PLANNING:
Dive planning normally takes place at 5pm on the evening prior to the following day’s dive and is done by Malongane’s staff. Here you decide with the dive master which reef to go and explore, at what time and who your companions will be. Remember to bring your valid C-Card and log book with you. Please take note that all dives confirmed during dive planning will be charged for.
DIVE PREPARATION:
Launches into the surf commence early in the morning (starting from 6:00 am) with qualified dive masters and skippers on fully equipped Buccaneer or Rubber Duck Boats.
Dive preparation starts 45-60 minutes prior to the dive launch time. This time is spent on assembling equipment, getting dressed and discussing the dive. Make sure you have filled in an indemnity form before diving. Your assembled hard gear and weights will be loaded to the boats by our staff, but you will need to carry your masks and fins to the boat yourself.
At the beach you will listen to the dive briefing presented by your dive master. Now is the time for any final questions you might have regarding the dive, diving procedures etc. When the dive master is sure that everybody is ready to rumble, he will ask everybody to help push the boat in the water, and the skipper will signal when the divers must hop on. The rest is history!
Emergency oxygen is available at the Dive Camp as well as on all the boats.
AFTER THE DIVE:
After diving, all equipment is washed by our staff, and stored in the dive decks of the dive camp, ready for your next dive.
Guests who stay in dive log huts and tents can help themselves to tea and coffee in the Dive Camp during their stay in the resort.
NIGHT DIVING:
During the high/premium seasons or on request (subject to favourable weather conditions), night dives are also available to the more advanced and adventurous divers.
Please note that you should prepay your dives at the booking office or at the Dive Camp.
